-More practice tests next week! Thanks to everyone who showed up today. The testing schedule will also be posted soon.

-Popcorn orders are coming in about two weeks! (: Everyone who turned in a form, please attend the meeting to receive your orders. We'll remind you through email, texts, the blog, twitter, etc.

10/30 Meeting Recap

Recap of Friday's meeting: 

1. T-shirts have been ordered!! If you paid already, please see Neha at next week's meeting for a refund - prices have been dropped to $10. (-: And if you haven't paid, please do so asap.

2. Popcorn order forms are due next Friday, 11/6. So we only have one week left to sell! Remember, our goal is to sell 10 bags or 1 party pack each. 

3. If you are signed up for either CELL BIO or ANATOMY, please start studying via the event description/handouts. Tests will be created soon as these are very competitive events. The purpose of these tests is to make sure we have the best team possible (for the competition in February). We will update soon with more info. 

4. Also, please do try to make it to the meetings. We have a consistently small turnout. ):

Meeting tomorrow in Ms. Hrezo's room!~ Please bring T-shirt money. ($15 per shirt!) 

It's important to attend tomorrow's meeting! Again, this is the ONLY time to buy T-shirts.

**Please note : T-shirt costs aren't final, but are definitely $15 minimum. This amount may change due to unaccounted costs, but it shouldn't be much of a difference and we'll let you know. Thank you, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Attatched to this post are the events for this year's competition. Please look over your events throughout this week. If you have any problems with you events, please talk to one of the officers at the meeting, this Friday. However, if you do want to change your events you must have a acceptable excuse. We will not change your events, if you simply don't like/know your partner or have not been partnered with a friend. We picked partners based on who is the most apt for each event. Meeting Update Information

Hey Guys
In order to make picking t-shirt designs efficient and organized we have created a Google Form, so you can vote online. Here is the link: T-shirt Poll. Please have all responses in no later then this Friday (9/2). We will be announcing the results at the next meeting. If you guys want to change the design a little bit, Jacob is open to suggestions for improvement. Have a wonderful Sunday and see you this Friday. Meeting Recap 9/25

Hello everyone! Our meeting yesterday was a little small, so here's a recap for anyone who missed it and needs the information:

1. passed around the sign in sheet of course, and announced the officer positions (congratulations, Shantanu and Jacob!)
2. discussed events - please email valenciascienceolympiad@gmail.com if you have questions or want to change your events. (We will be posting descriptions of all the events on the blog, so check that for more info.)
3. talked about T-shirts. Jacob designed two alternate patterns for the t-shirt. (They both look great!) We will have a google forms up later so please submit your votes (:

I just wanted to provide a quick update on the status of officer applications. They are now available at the links provided below and can be filled out at any time prior to the interview date.

**Be sure to read the requirements of each position, so that you can apply to the position that best suits you. Make sure to BRING the application with you to the INTERVIEW DATE. The interview dates are still being finalized, and they will be told at the next meeting. If you plan on applying for a position, please come to the next meeting (9/4) as more information will be provided at that time.

Thanks, everyone, for showing up at the meeting today. It was great getting to meet you all today and talking with you. I can already tell that the club is going to do extremely well this year.
Next friday (9/4) will be the first official meeting. The meeting will be in room 814, at lunch. Same as today.We will be talking more about fundraisers, the club, and officer applications.

Welcome to VHS Science Olympiad, 2015!

This is your president Neha Vyas.
I just wanted to inform you all that Science Olympiad is meeting this Friday (8/28) for our introductory meeting. The meeting will take place in Rm 814, Ms. Rezo's room. We will briefly discuss the purpose of the club and introduce your officers.
