Event Selections:

Hello Everyone!!!

I hope everyone is having a great week. In this post, I will be including instructions on how to choose your events for the Science Olympiad: 2017-2108 year.

Instructions:

1. Read the Events Manual (ESSENTIAL)
       - Link to the Manual: (click on on this)
2. Fill out the Google Form on which events you would like to take part in.
      - Link to the Google Form (click on this)
3. ALL DONE!!!

* Please make sure to choose events you like, because you might get one of the ones you might not have liked. This form is made so that I and your officers know what you want, and will give you those events. If you have put the event down on the form, you will NOT be able to "quit" the event after event schedules are handed out. I will be repeating this several times, so please take the time and effort to carefully choose your events. Also, as only 2 people can actually do most of the events, most of you will not get every event you put down. Please be understanding with this process, as we want to have everyone participate in their desired events, but are tied down by the requirements that SCIOLY provides us with.

Thank You

Neha Vyas
President of Science Olympiad

Events: 2016-2017

Hey Guys
Hope you all have been having a great week. Events are finally decided and a link will be posted at the end of the list. These events are NOT final as we have not seen the times for each event yet. Events will only be final after we receive the official schedule and time table for the competition. Also, there were several events for which no one had signed up, so we filled them with members to allow everyone to participate in at least 3 events. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to come talk to me (Neha) at the meeting this friday or email valenciascienceolympiad@gmail.com.

Late Meeting Summary 9/16/16

Thanks to those who came to the first official Science Olympiad meeting in Mrs. Hrezo's classroom on Friday. There will be another meeting this Friday at lunch, so if you missed the last meeting, Please come this week.

Last Friday, we just answered some general information on the competition and fundraising. If you don't know what Science Olympiad is, it is a competition in which students are assigned certain events and compete against other school at one of two colleges on a date. We prep for the events in various ways. Some events are study-at-home and take a test there, some are build events (like building a bridge at home), and some are a combination of prep and improv.

We are still finalizing fundraising information, so I'll update the blog when the information is set.

See yall soon
